Wood and cane straw, an almost omnipresent duo in Brazilian Design. Heavy and light, solid and fluid. A question is raised out of this material dichotomy: what if they were one?
The Palha Bar answers this question. The lightness of the straw pattern is carved on wood to make it permeable yet strong. A pattern that evokes memories, that has a very emotional meaning.
With almost four thousand perforations, the doors have a surprising opening mechanism, along with a magnetic lock. Due to the glass shelves, it also doubles as a sculptoric piece. As such, the Palha Bar is beautiful and useful anyway you decide to use it.
