Lettering mural done for Festival Concreto

As part of the Concreto Festival, one of the biggest street art festivals in Brazil, the AME-O ou AME-O (LOVE IT or LOVE IT) mural comes as a response to the turbulent political times we’re experiencing. With a a fast growing radical right wing, the conservative movement gains momentum in our country, much like it did back in 1960s, preceeding the military coup. 

One of the most famous slogans used by right wing advocates was AME-O ou DEIXE-O (LOVE IT or LEAVE IT) as clear message of repression and the mindset for dicussion of those times. As such, with this piece, as joyful and innocuous as it seems, make a stand that we will not leave, that we will stand and that we will keep loving and fighting for a better country.
